Equimec plus Tape

Equimec Plus Tape is a broad-spectrum oral horse wormer containing ivermectin and praziquantel for the treatment and control of susceptible roundworms, tapeworms, bots and certain parasitic skin conditions.

The aniseed-flavoured gel has a thickened vegetable oil base designed to assist administration and minimise product loss from the horse’s mouth. One full syringe treats a horse weighing up to 600kg.

Active constituents:

• Ivermectin: 8mg/g

• Praziquantel: 100mg/g

Dosage and administration:

Administer orally at a dose rate of 1mL per 40kg bodyweight. 

Accurately determine the horse’s bodyweight and adjust the dosage control accordingly. Ensure the horse’s mouth is free from food, place the product over the rear of the tongue and raise the horse’s head briefly after administration to encourage swallowing.

Do not underdose. Always read and follow the registered product label. Consult your veterinarian for advice on faecal egg testing, resistance management and an appropriate parasite control program.

Meat withholding period:

Do not use less than 28 days before slaughter for human consumption.
