Low-Volume Wormers for Horses

Simplify oral dosing with our range of low-volume horse wormers. These concentrated paste and liquid formulations deliver the required active ingredients in a smaller measured quantity, which may make administration more manageable for horses that resist larger-volume oral treatments.

Low-volume wormers are available with different active ingredients and combinations. Depending on the selected product, registered coverage may include susceptible roundworms, strongyles, bots and tapeworm. Some products do not control every parasite, so always compare the active constituents and registered label claims rather than selecting a wormer by dose volume alone.

Accurately determine the horse’s bodyweight and use the supplied syringe or applicator to measure the complete calculated dose. Clear feed from the mouth where directed, position the applicator correctly and ensure the horse swallows the product. A smaller dose volume may reduce the quantity that must be administered, but it does not remove the risk of underdosing if the horse spits out or loses part of the treatment.

Low-volume products may be available as individual syringes, multidose bottles, multipacks or larger quantities for professional yards and studs. Check how much bodyweight each syringe or bottle treats, as concentration and dosing rates vary between formulations.

Always follow the registered label, including dosage instructions, age restrictions, safety precautions and withholding periods. Check suitability for foals, pregnant or lactating mares and breeding horses. Nasogastric administration should only be undertaken by, or under the direct supervision of, a veterinarian.
