Dosage & Administration
Administer orally at:
-
0.4mg/kg Moxidectin
-
2.5mg/kg Praziquantel
The syringe is ready-to-use and calibrated by bodyweight to ensure accurate dosing.
Important:
-
Accurately determine your horse’s weight (use scales or a weigh tape).
-
Adjust the syringe to the correct bodyweight before dosing.
-
Do not underdose.
Heavy Horses
One syringe treats up to 700kg.
For horses over 700kg, additional gel is required.
Example:
An 875kg horse requires 1¼ syringes.
Subtract 700kg from total bodyweight and set the second syringe accordingly (875kg – 700kg = 175kg).
Precautions
-
Do NOT administer the full syringe to horses under 500kg.
-
Use with caution in foals and smaller breeds — carefully calibrate dose to avoid overdosing.
-
Keep away from dogs — ingestion of spilt product may cause toxicity.
Parasite Control Program
All horses should be on a regular parasite management program. Strategic treatment helps reduce the risk of diseases such as colic and verminous arteritis.
Due to its long-lasting activity — including control of encysted small strongyles — retreatment intervals for small strongyles may be extended to 14–16 weeks.
Consult your veterinarian for faecal egg count interpretation and a tailored parasite control program.
Meat Withholding Period (Horses)
DO NOT USE less than 28 days before slaughter for human consumption.
