Abbey Applemax Triple Broad-Spectrum Antiparasitic Liquid for Horses

Abbey Applemax Triple is an apple-flavoured, triple-active liquid horse wormer formulated for broad-spectrum parasite control, including certain resistant worms.

Its combination of ivermectin, oxibendazole and praziquantel treats and controls susceptible roundworms, including benzimidazole-resistant small strongyles, ivermectin-resistant Parascaris equorum and arterial larval stages of Strongylus vulgaris. It also controls susceptible lungworms, tapeworm, bots and skin lesions caused by the cutaneous larvae of Habronema species.

Applemax Triple is particularly useful for the treatment of ivermectin-resistant Parascaris equorum in foals when used according to the label.

Dosage

SHAKE WELL BEFORE EACH USE.

Administer orally at the rate of 1mL per 20kg bodyweight.

At this dose rate, Applemax Triple delivers:

• 0.2mg ivermectin per kilogram of bodyweight
• 10mg oxibendazole per kilogram of bodyweight
• 2.5mg praziquantel per kilogram of bodyweight

Accurately determine the horse’s bodyweight before treatment. Do not underdose.

Administration

Applemax Triple is a ready-to-use liquid drench that may be administered using suitable, accurately calibrated drenching equipment.

1. Shake the bottle thoroughly before measuring each dose.

2. Measure the correct dose for the horse’s liveweight.

3. Deposit the medication towards the rear of the tongue.

4. Immediately raise the horse’s head for several seconds to help ensure the complete dose is swallowed.

5. Rinse drenching equipment with water immediately after use.

6. Check the accuracy of drenching equipment regularly.

Use correct drenching technique and follow the weight ranges and directions on the product label.

A 250mL bottle contains sufficient product for eight complete 600kg horse doses, with 10mL remaining.
