Abbey APPLEMAX™ GOLD is a highly effective, apple-flavoured liquid wormer formulated to provide broad spectrum parasite control in horses. Combining ivermectin and praziquantel, it targets major internal parasites and bots in a low-volume, easy-to-administer dose.

Dosage & Administration
Recommended Dose:
1mL per 50kg bodyweight
(Equivalent to 200µg ivermectin/kg and 1.5mg praziquantel/kg)
APPLEMAX™ GOLD may be administered:

As an oral drench (preferred method)

Via nasogastric intubation (by or under veterinary supervision only)
Oral Drench Instructions

Clear the horse’s mouth of feed material.

Elevate the horse’s head.

Using the supplied syringe, deposit the measured dose at the back of the tongue.

Avoid excessive pressure and do not administer into the laryngeal area.

Keep the head elevated briefly to ensure the full dose is swallowed.
To minimise coughing or dose loss, avoid large volumes of diluted product. An undiluted dose is generally preferred.
⚠️ Discard any unused diluted suspension after 24 hours.

Can my horse spit it out?
The low dose volume (12mL for a 600kg horse) combined with the included syringe allows accurate placement at the back of the tongue, making rejection difficult.
What if I don’t use the entire bottle?
Simply replace the cap and store as directed. The remaining product can be used until the expiry date.
