Pack Contents

Each box contains four individually measured 17.5g sachets.

• One sachet treats up to 350kg liveweight
• Two sachets treat up to 700kg liveweight
• One box treats two 700kg horses or four 350kg ponies

Boxes may be purchased individually or in the quantity options shown.

Dosage

Administer at the rate of one complete 17.5g sachet per 350kg liveweight.

Accurately determine the horse’s bodyweight before treatment. Do not attempt to divide a sachet to dose a horse weighing less than 350kg unless specifically permitted by the product label.

Mixing and Administration

• Calculate the correct number of complete sachets for the horse’s liveweight
• Mix the entire required dose thoroughly with the horse’s feed
• Remove the horse’s bridle before feeding
• Take care to prevent spillage
• Ensure the horse consumes the entire medicated feed

If the horse does not consume the complete feed, mix the remaining medicated portion with a small amount of feed—up to 1kg—or an appropriate sweetener such as molasses, honey or sugar, and offer it again until the full dose has been consumed.

Failure to consume the complete dose may reduce treatment efficacy.

Important Precautions

• Not recommended for unweaned foals less than six months of age due to the risk of incorrect dosing
• Prevent dogs from consuming the medicated feed or accessing the product
• Some horses carrying heavy burdens of Onchocerca microfilariae may experience swelling or itching following treatment
• Seek veterinary advice if any reaction persists
• Resistance may develop to any anthelmintic chemical
• Avoid underdosing and unnecessary repeated use of the same active ingredient
• Use faecal egg counts and veterinary advice to help develop an appropriate parasite-control program

Meat Withholding Period

DO NOT USE less than 28 days before slaughter for human consumption.

Storage

Store below 25°C in a dry place. Protect from light.

FOR ANIMAL TREATMENT ONLY.

NOT TO BE USED FOR ANY PURPOSE, OR IN ANY MANNER, CONTRARY TO THE LABEL UNLESS AUTHORISED UNDER APPROPRIATE LEGISLATION.

Frequently Asked Questions

How many sachets are contained in one box of EasyMec?

Each box contains four individually measured 17.5g sachets.

How much bodyweight does one sachet treat?

One complete sachet treats up to 350kg liveweight. A horse weighing more than 350kg and up to 700kg requires two complete sachets.

Does EasyMec treat tapeworm?

No. EasyMec contains ivermectin only and does not control tapeworm. An appropriately registered praziquantel-containing wormer should be considered when tapeworm treatment is required.

Is EasyMec suitable for horses that resist paste wormers?

Yes. EasyMec is mixed with feed, so it can be particularly useful for horses that are difficult to treat with an oral worming syringe. The horse must consume the complete medicated feed to receive the correct dose.

Can EasyMec be used in young foals?

EasyMec is not recommended for unweaned foals less than six months of age because of the risk of incorrect dosing.

Can I divide a sachet for a small pony?

Each sachet is formulated as a complete dose for up to 350kg liveweight. Do not divide sachets unless the registered product label specifically permits it.

How often should EasyMec be administered?

Treatment should be based on the horse’s parasite-control program, pasture conditions, faecal egg count results and veterinary advice. Avoid unnecessary repeated treatment or exclusive reliance on one active ingredient.
