Manuka Wound Gel

PAW Manuka Wound Gel is a sterile, medical-grade wound dressing formulated with 80% Leptospermum species Manuka honey, together with natural oils and waxes. Suitable for horses, dogs, cats and other companion animals, it can be used in the management of wounds, burns and grazes, or kept on hand as part of an animal first aid kit.

The non-adherent gel helps protect the wound while maintaining a naturally moist wound environment. Its combination of natural waxes and oils helps reduce the stinging that may be associated with pure honey and assists with comfortable dressing changes.

Directions for use:

Clean around the wound with sterile saline. Apply PAW Manuka Wound Gel liberally in an approximately 3 mm layer, either directly to the wound or to a suitable dressing.

The frequency of dressing changes will depend on the wound and clinical circumstances. Dressings may require changing once daily for draining wounds or may remain in place for up to seven days when unsoiled. Remove the gel by rinsing with sterile saline or water when changing the dressing.
