Shapley’s No. 1 Light Oil is a lightweight conditioning oil for horses’ coats, skin, manes and tails. It smooths and softens dry hair while adding a fine, natural-looking shine without leaving a heavy or gummy finish when used sparingly.

Ideal for everyday grooming or final show-ring presentation, No. 1 Light Oil can be used to highlight the horse’s face and body, add definition to features and give manes and tails a polished appearance. It also helps loosen tangles and allows knots to be worked out more easily.

Directions for use:

Apply a small amount to your hands or a towel, then smooth it lightly over the required areas. Alternatively, transfer the oil into a suitable spray bottle and mist lightly over the coat from several centimetres away.

For the face, apply sparingly with your hands, avoiding the eyes, nostrils and inside of the ears. To condition the mane and tail, rub a small amount between your hands and work it gently through the hair.

Begin with a small quantity and add more only if required. Excessive application may weigh down the hair or leave the coat looking oily.

To remove the product, wash with a suitable clarifying horse shampoo such as Shapley’s Hi Shine Shampoo.

For external use only. Avoid contact with the eyes and discontinue use if irritation occurs.
