Keratex Hoof Gel provides waterproof, breathable protection for horses’ hooves during wet, muddy or humid conditions. It forms a protective layer that helps prevent excessive water absorption and the associated softening, splitting and deterioration of the hoof.

The gel is absorbed into the hoof rather than remaining solely on the surface. Once dry, it encourages water to form droplets and roll away, helping protect the hoof wall, sole, frog and heels without sealing moisture completely inside.

Directions for use:

Shake well before use. Begin with a clean, dry hoof.

Using a hoof brush, apply to the hoof wall from just below the coronary band downwards. For more complete protection, apply to the sole, frog and heels as well. Allow the product to dry before riding or turning the horse out.

Apply every two days during wet conditions. In dry conditions, application may be reduced to every four days. An additional coat may be applied before exposure to extremely wet, muddy or snowy conditions.

Once dry, the hoof may be buffed with a cloth to produce a natural sheen.

Do not use conventional hoof oils or greases with Keratex Hoof Gel, as they may interfere with its performance.

For external use on equine hooves only. Keep away from the horse’s eyes, nose and mouth.
