What is PCN?
PCN is a bonded material that mimics the look and feel of premium leather while offering significantly lower maintenance. It’s especially beneficial for riders in humid climates or those with limited time for routine tack care. Because it is mould- and mildew-resistant as well as non-absorbent, PCN provides a clean, safe surface for the horse’s skin—even when exposed to sweat or water. Lightweight yet strong, PCN stays flexible in cold weather and delivers uniform strength at roughly 20% less weight than leather. While leather has long been the standard for equine equipment, PCN brings a new level of sophistication and convenience to modern tack.
